The start of spring is exciting for more reasons than just warm weather. It also means the kick off of the spring summer music festival season in Australia (my favourite time of year).
When it comes to festival fashion, Australian girls have a definite formula- Denim cut off short shorts, a singlet (which usually comes off), a bikini top, aviators and boots, cons or Doc Martins. Whilst I don't mind the festival ‘uniform’, I like to go against the grain when planning my festival look, to avoid feeling like I am back school, surrounded by 1000’s of other girls in the same look. My festival vibe is a bit more gypsy inspired. Above I am rocking something I would definitely be seen in this festival season, a bright printed Talulah jumpsuit with a one teaspoon bikini top underneath along with my new favourite shoes from Urge Footwear. My advice when choosing a bikini top for a festival is to look for something with a bit more structure than the usual triangle top, it gives the look a lot more dimension. I wore this outfit while filming the new promo video for Seasoned Music’s latest event, Spring Music which I will be attending as their presenter come November. If you're like me and into euro style deep house with a boutique festival vibe, you should definitely come along to Spring Music, it’s going to be one hell of a day!
